At what age would the courts take the child's oppinion into consideration regarding their desire to be with a certain parent?

In general, about 12 or 13. But it really depends on the maturity of the child. I had a case where the court took into consideration the wishes of a 7-year old because minor's counsel said that the 7-year old was very intelligent and knew what was going on.
