Legal Question in Family Law in California

child custody appeal??

I have been denied custody of my 2 children for no particular reason, simply because the mother asked. I have done nothing immoral or unlawful, i don't even drink or smoke. Can i appeal to a higher court? If so, how? How can this happen when i have done no wrong? I need help, and i am utterly without resources.

Re: child custody appeal??

Something is missing here. Was there a court hearing which you attended? Did you not show up for a hearing? Did you "lose" custody but "win" visitation rights?
