Child custody arrangement

I had an oral agreement with my daughter's cousin (her father's side of that family) to keep my daughter while I was getting treatmnet for my depression. She has been with her cousin approximately 6 months. Now I have finished my program and I'm back at work-but she says she's not letting bring her back home. Can she do this? We didn't sign any legal papers, it was just supposed to be an arrangement between the her cousin and I.

Take her to court. You have a better right to your child than she does. It might be a battle, but I'm sure that you would get your daughter back.
