child custody

my boyfriend is going into the army we have a 14month old child do we need to go to court for custody we live together all ready?

Re: child custody

Living together is not the same as being married. Dependents of a member of the armed forces receive benefits and in some cases pay. You are not a dependent and neither is your child without a court order that he is the father.
