Legal Question in Family Law in California
I have been in a child custody case entering it's 5th year. It has now been set to go to trial in January of 2010. I am unrepresented, my daughter has a court appointed attorney who has been the main problem, my ex has an attorney as well. I cannot afford an attorney. Can they make me go to trial and represent myself against two attorney's? I don't know what to do, I know I have a strong case but without being a lawyer myself I won't have a chance. What options do I have?

Hire an attorney. If your ex can afford an attorney, it is quite possible that an attorney can get an order that your attorneys fees be paid by the ex. NO one who represents themselves opposite an attorney in a custody case comes out with a good result.
