child custody changes/california

I have a 14 year old son. during numerous court cases c.p.s. became involved and was manipulated into a favorable decision for my ex- husband. Its 5 years later and my 14 year old would like to come and live with me in alaska. his fther is, let's just say extremely spitful with anything that has to do with me including dening visition. how would we go about a custody change with out causing further problems for my son????
