Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Custody

My child's father is supposed to pay child support but has paid a little here and there. I read in my court papers that he is charged ten percent interest on the back pay after each year. I'm waiting to take him to court but do I need to formally document what he has or hasn't paid. Also he owes about 2,000 dollars in medicals bills, what do I need to do to get him to pay that amount?

Re: Child Custody

You will need to document which months he paid or did not pay. Without this evidence you may not be able to collect the unpaid support.
