Child Custody

My daughter, age 16, ran away from home where we live in California, I gave her permission to go live with her father in Alabama,and only her father. However she is not living with her father, she is living with her fathers

ex-wife what can I do legally, to get my daughter back? My daughter has lived with me from birth although myself or her father has legal custody of her. What can I do legally to get her out of the ex wife's house?

If you have papers showing that you have legal and physical custody, take those papers and go to Alabama and get her. Go to the local police department and show them your papers and tell them you want to pick your daughter up. Make sure you take a certified copy.
