Legal Question in Family Law in California
child custody
my husband just found out he had a 12 year old daughter. Someone else's name is on the birth certificate but DNA test confirmed him as the father. Her mother lets her live with a relative, her hygiene is neglected and she barely go to school. Her mother calls when ther are issues but my husband's daughter is not allowed to come to our home. Do we have any legal rights? Do we have a chance in gaining custody of her or visitations? Will he have to pay back child support?

Re: child custody
Yes your husband has a chance. In fact, he has a pretty good chance. He will not have to pay back child support, unless there is a standing child support order. Call me if you'd like my help.
