Legal Question in Family Law in California
child custody
I have joint custody with my ex having primary. What are the laws regarding his moving the children out of state without notifying me & without my consent. My child support is up to date. He also doesn't let me have vist. What are my rights & how do I fix this?

Re: child custody
Normally, he cannot move the children out of state without a court order. To get such an order, he would have to have an evaluation done, an expensive and long process. However, if the current court order allows him to move out of state, then he can just move.
Re: child custody
Probably he cannot move without giving you prior notice, but that depends on the wording of the current court order. You should have that order reviewed by a child custody attorney in the county where the action is filed. He should be able to help you see your kids. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
