Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Custody

Would a judge award child support and custody to one parent when both parents still reside in the same home and share children 100%. No domestic violence issues, both parents work outside the home full time. Both parents are requesting custody of 2 minors.

Re: Child Custody

The awarding of child support would depend upon income of each parent. If one parent has income that is much higher than the other parent then an order for child support is more likely. Most likely the court would order joint legal and physical custody to the parents.
