Child custody jurisdiction

My ex filed custody paper in the city of Orange however the children reside in Los Angeles County. I also reside in Los Angeles County. Does Orange County have jurisdiction? or should this case be heard in Los Angeles County Court?

The case probably should be heard in Los Angeles. You will have to retain an attorney to assist you in preparing the motion for a change of venue.
