Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Custody

I live in California and want to move to Washington with my children. Their father and I are not married, we do not live together, and he does not pay child support and rarely sees them, his own choice. Am I allowed to move out of state even though he doesn't want me to?

Re: Child Custody

Assuming that paternity has not been established in court and that there are no court orders, you can move whenever and whereever you want.
