Child Custody Living on Boat in California

Can my soon-to-be-ex wife prevent my children from from living with me aboard a 41-foot sailboat with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms?

I recently had a case where the mother complained to the judge, after the judge ordered 50/50 custody, that my client didn't have a home, that he was merely sleeping on a couch at a friend's house. The judge said, "Madam, I don't care if he pitches a tent in the forest. He's going to have equal custody of those kids."
