child custody

i am not married to my child's father & we are in the process of separating. we currently reside in san francisco but i want to relocate to FL so my family can help me raise her. he wants to move to CO but not for a few years. i'm the primary breadwinner. will that help me get custody? is it possible for me to legally leave the state with her?

You should consult with an attorney regarding your situation. The court will consider the affect of the move on the child. The more contact father has with the child the greater the detriment to the child if his visitation is curtailed.
