Child Custody
my neice has given a noterized statement to give immediate custody to me of her son born 9-5-2007, if she is given a drug test she will fail and she has a warrent and the grandparents on the dads side want custody under grandparents law they are going today and they will also definetly!!!fail a drug test as well. The best interest of the child is to stay with me, the grandparents can see him, but I want full custody and I really dont know if what I have will surfice for custody, please call me I am very worried I am his uncle. Your position is very probably better than the grandparents. You have a statement from the mother nominating you as the guardian. You should retain an attorney and file a petition for guardianship as soon as possible.
