Child custody orders

After permant orders are in place for child custody/visitation, etc., how long afterwards can the opposing party go back to court to try and change those orders?

The court has jurisdiction to modify custody and visitation order or support orders if there is a change in circumstances. That normally requires a substantial change. For example a $10 increase per month in wages would not be a substantial change.
