Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child custody papers

I divorced my husband in former USSR 15 years ago. the only document in my possession is a divorce paper. there were no court order papers for custody back then. We mutually agreed on my sole custody of a child. I live with my daughter and have no contact with my husband at all. Which document can replace the court order child custody document?

Re: Child custody papers

You need to get the original certified copies of the custody order to have them enforced here in the US. And then you would file for a case action here and register those custody orders.

Always consult with a lawyer in your area prior to making legal decisions. Good luck!
