Child Custody

When a person has legal papers drawn up for

guardianship of a child, do those papers has to be

served to the other party by an outside paerson or can

the person serve the papers directly to the other

party? If these papers are served directly from one

party to another does in make them

Anyone who is not a party to the case and is 18 or older may serve the petition and summons. It may not be served by anyone that is named as a petitioner, respondent or in this case any person that must be served with notice.
