child custody
my son is 15 he lives with his father during the week he has had an altercation with his father (dad hit him) he has ran away overnight and has finally called today and says he does not want to go back to his fathers can his father come and get him regardless or do i need to file a report with a police officer or what do i need to do so he may stay here

You can file a request with the family court to change child custody arrangement making you the primary custodial parent. The court will consider the "changed circumstances" which include the altercation and your son's wishes.
Depending on the nature of the injuries during the altercation, you might consider having your son file a police report.
