Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Custody

My son has been living with me two years. I served his mom child support papers this week. My son was visiting for Christmas. She has decided to not return him to me. There is no custody order in place. Do I have any rights to have my son returned to me. His mom lives in a distant city. His school, clothes, bed, etc. are at my home (our home).

Re: Child Custody

File a motion for custody, and request a temporary order for you to have custody. Get a letter from his school stating how long he has attended school. Time is of the essence in this matter.
