child custody/

i have a son,that went to go visit his father,but his father refuses,to return him to me.but i just found out he is a registered sex offender(not on parole)he did not establish paternity or on the birth certificate.can he have the child in his care/custody?

You should act immediately to get your child back. You have several options. Get a copy of his birth certificate and ask the police to assist you. If the police department will not assist you then go to court and get an order dor his return. You could also ask the court to issue a warrant in lieu of a writ of habeas corpus. The district attoreny's office may also be of assistance to you. Responding quickly is important to impress upon the court your belief that your child is in danger. Seeking the assistance of an attoreny is extremely important.

You should take immediate action. The person at issue has no paternal or court ordered right to "kidnap" your child. Law enforcement can assist you initially, but you may want to strongly consider having the matter court ordered in family court ASAP.
