Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child Custody
My wife suffers from post partum depression and becomes violent. She scares me and our baby. I have tried to get her to go for help but she won't do it, just talks about it. I do not have a job and live with my mother-in-law who also is violent and attacked me recently.
I want to take the baby, my wife and go to connecticut to live with my parents. My parents will try to get her help also. If she will not come with me can I take the baby out of the environment and go live with my parents. I am fearful of my baby and my well being.

Re: Child Custody
Although you technically have the right to move, doing so may have some undesirable result. You should contact an attorney and discuss the options available. Obtaining a court order allowing you to move would probably be your best course of action. You should take action soon to protect yourself and child.
