Legal Question in Family Law in California

child custody

I have a 3 year old daughter. Her father and I have never been to court for custody. I am currently looking to relocate to another county and I am wondering if he can keep me from doing so. As well I have some issues with what he thinks ok to do if front of our daughter...such as drinking, bringing around other women and use of bb guns with her.

You should have his written consent to move from the oounty or a court order, otherwise you could be in for a costly custody fight. You will need to file a motion. At the same time you can bring up the safety issues of the child. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
