Child Custody

My 15 year old daughter wants to come live with me and her mom will not let her. I live in California and they in North Carolina. I have filed papers with the courts. Does my daughter have a choice in the matter with whom she wants to live with?

The court will consider her wishes, however, her wishes are not determinative. [They do not determine the outcome.]
