Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Custody/Adoption

My ex-boyfriend and I have 4 children together, but I have an RTO against him, which gives me full custody of the children. Which is up next year, which I'm going to do again for another 3yrs. He does have visitation (supervised) but the person who was doing the supervision is no longer around. The father has not asked to have this modified. But what I'm asking is My new boyfriend and I are going to be getting married next yr and he wants to adopt the children. Considering I have full custody of the children now, what do I have to do to let my new boyfriend appot the children? Do I have to ask the childrens father about this or can I just have my new husband to be adopt them?
