Child custody/visitation

I reside in a different county than my son: Can I file for custody or visitations with the county that I reside although my son lives in another?

Depends on the situation...if the action is dissolutiion based, perhaps the same county..if not, and guadianship based another county may do..pleae provide more info.vty, Julie

If you meet jurisdictional requirements and another court has not retained jurisdiction, then you can.
