Legal Question in Family Law in California

child day care

my ex wife recently started working a minumum wage job. the kids are taken care by a licenced lady(foster care) there is no current order for me to pay any amount but she insists i pay half I earn more than she does and i pay for child support is this mandatory under california law i am currently in the middle of a child support modification and visitation and since i make more than she does I dont want the judge to make me pay more so should i bring it up or stay quiet i paychild support alimony and on top now daycare ouch!!!!

Child care to allow her to work or go to school is a mandatory add on for child support.
