Child endangerment

If a father left his daughter whos 15 years of age in a car while he went into a building and she got kidnapped would he go to jail?

Certainly shouldn't unless he was in on it! This isn't like leaving a 2-year old in a locked car on a hot summer day. I find this question a disturbing sign of the times. People seem to be becoming afraid they can go to jail for just about anything. I'm not saying there isn't some crazy prosecutor out there who might try to concoct something, but it would be the greatest of stretches. I'd like to think police and law enforcement would get right on searchibg for the girl rather than subject the parents to more torment. If you think your daughter was abducted, or some friend does, do not hesitate to report it to the authorities.
