Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Molestation

I am 30 years old and was molested by my stepfather at the age of 10. Can I still report the crime to the athorities if I never have before and charge him of the crime? He has recently sexually assaulted another person I know and would that be considered a way to charge him of this past crime? What are my options?

Re: Child Molestation

You should report this to the police without consideration as to whether he can be charged. The fact that he has recently molested another child should be all the incentive you need to report his conduct. By doing this you will be protecting an innocent child.
