Legal Question in Family Law in California

child taken from mother

I am a support person for a young Wailaiki woman whose son, at age 2 1/2 was visiting his father and ingested drugs, ended up in the hospital. It has been 21/2 years of going through all the hoops now that the little one is in the system. My question is how is the mother held negligent when this happened at the father's residence and the mother was not aware iof the unsafe conditions? The child was picked up by the father for required visit. Any help is appreciated.

Re: child taken from mother

You should find a CPS attorney who can help you get custody back for the mother. Once CPS is involved, it is very difficult to get them out of the system. Additionally there may be low cost or free attorneys in your area.

Please contact a local attorney in your area prior to taking legal action.

Good luck,
