Legal Question in Family Law in California
not my child
i was sent papers for child suport.i maild them my reply along with my waiver form.they sent me some more papers for judgementand order. it do not have any amount or anything.i also asked them to have a hearing and blood testing here.do this mean i have to pay for a child that is not mine.

You say that you sent back a waiver. A waiver is a document that you sign that gives up rights that you have under the law. I fear that you did not understand what you were doing or what rights you were signing away. Without seeing the documents you returned there is no way to know where you stand. It is difficult to say without reviewing the papers that you were sent and that you returned. You had better get an attorney or my guess is that you will be paying for a child that may or may not be yours. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
