Legal Question in Family Law in California

child protection

My wife and I are divorced. Her father molested her when she was 9 (in 1986). I want to know if there is a way to get copies of the Child Protective Services investigation ( California). My ex -wife is taking the kids around him and I want to keep him from molesting them also. I will need some sort of proof as to his past act of molestation and believe those records are the only thing available. He was not charged criminally , but was required to take part in state mandated counseling.

Re: child protection

Yes, you can get copies of those reports from Social Services. I did it in an action once where the grandparents were seeking visitation rights of their deceased daughter's child, and the father claimed that they had molested the deceased daughter. When social services provided the documents, they proved that the father had, in fact, molested the deceased daughter.
