Legal Question in Family Law in California

help with child protective services case

I wanna know how to help my friend with with her case. Her in-laws reported her to Child Protective Services, cause they believed that she was addicted to drugs and they said her house was dirty. I have never seen her do drugs and i have been in her house and have helped clean her house as well. I went to a supervisory visit in which i saw things that were not appropriate, i have also witnessed phone calls to workers, and those calls went unanswered. I want to know what to do and how to help her. Her youngest son is my God-Son.

You know its pretty that the workers are not returning calls after people have called then, and thats sad. The worker she has now has already convicted her without hearing her out, please help....

I would need additional information to determine what advice to give you. From your question, I must assume that your friend's children have been taken from her and are now in the system.

First off, your friend should get an attorney to help her get her kids back if she can afford one. If not an attorney will be assigned but, as you can surmise, this attorney will likely assume the same as the case worker.

The law in California is for the parent to get re-unified with their children so your friend has a chance to get her kids back. She should contact us to discuss this matter in greater detail.

The best thing you can do for your friend is to get an experienced attorney to represent her in this case. Although the court will appoint an attorney to represent her, these attorneys are often assigned a large number of cases. It is also common for the attorney to picku up the case the day of the hearing.
