Child seeking child support for self
I am trying to get a child support order to collect past due child support from my mother. How would I go about doing so?

First, you need to get the obligee to assign you their right to collect child support. This, of course, assumes there actually is an order in the past requiring your mom to pay support to another person who was taking care of you. If there was no order, then no child support is due to anyone. If there was an order, good luck getting the person to whom support is due to sign their rights to money over to you. Without this, you are entitled to nothing. Once you get an assignment, then you have to collect. More good luck to you. It is not impossible to collect, but you might want to make sure your mom has a job or source of revenue you can tap into before chasing her around the mulberry bush.
