Legal Question in Family Law in California

keep child in the state of CA

How can a man keep his ex-wife from moving to Colorado with their child? He's afraid he'll never see her again if she moves away. Does he have rights as a father to keep his daughter here?

Go to court and file an OSC asking the court to give you custody.

But it depends on many factors as to whether you would win or not. You should consult with an attorney to discuss the facts of your case, any prior orders or agreements, current visitation schedule, etc., before you file anything. You would not want to waste money on something that can't be done or stands a chance of not working.

Worst case scenario: She is allowed to leave and you get all the holiday and most of the summer.
