child support
i can not seem to get any answeres concerning the issuse as to me being asked to pay child support. i never recieved a pin number and the particapant no.and my social security no. seems to be in question because mi ssi no.is being used apparently by several persons. what can i do to get this matter resolved. Alson my son has turned 18 last month and my drivers license was suspended for me not being able to pay because i had no job. i did have a job at about the time I was told to pay child support and at that same time the person i was working for passed away and I had written the person handling the case and sent in paperwork of my clients death to sohoe that i wasno longer working and asking what needed to be done then. I never recieved any more responses until a few months ago in the mail that I owed 10,000 plus in back child supoort payments. and i havent worked on 4 plus years now.I would like to find out what was order in this case were my son is and if he has been adopted, which was what was suppose to have been what was going to take place some four years ago. I was not allowed any contact with Alex nor did i ever find out if he had been adopted, because my rigths as his mother were never terminated. I need help please.

If you narrow down your questions to one at a time you might eventually get them all answered. I am just going to pick one to answer for you.
You are required to follow the child support order, regardless of your employment status. When you can't pay, you must go back to court to change the order. Do it now. You have a good reason for changing the order because you lost your job. At the same time, you need to look for a job. Be prepared to describe the details of your job search to the judge.
