child support arears

What is the California law for a Dad who is behind $12,000 in support. He is paying a smaller monthly than the courts have ordered.

In addition to the information by Mr. McCrary you can go to the local child support office for assistance in collecting the child support. There is no cost for this service. The only downside to this approach is that sometimes they are slow in taking action.

You can garnish his wages or attache a bank account or car. If he owns a home you can foreclose on the home. You do not need to go in ex-parte to do these things. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
