Child Support-

In California, if the father is married do both the husband and new wifes income combine to determine how much child support he should pay, and is he responsible for half of the childs education if in private school?

Re: Child Support-

New spouse income is used only to determine the actual amount of taxes paid.

Only the father's income is used in calculating the amount of child support.

The private school question is more difficult. The answer depends in part on what occurred during the marriage. The income of the parents and the best interests of the children. If the children attended private school during the marriage there is a high probability that father will be required to pay part of the cost, unless it would be a hardship on him.
