Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

My case was recently modified and it states the custodial parent and myself are to split travel expenses 50/50. Everytime their is a plan set forth so I can see my daughter her mother makes matters very difficult and claims due to money porblems she can't send my daughter out to see me. She also reqiures I fly out to pick my daughter up and then do the same on her return. My daughter is now 12 and feels she can fly alone. What can I do? Do I need to hire a lawyer to get her to ablige the court documents or is there another alternative?

Re: Child Support

You should request a change in the order that provides that the receiving parent is to provide the transportation. That is you pay to get her to your home and mom pays to get her back to her home. That arrangement usually ends the lack of funds argument.
