Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child support- Chain of command
I'm having a major problem with my child support office. I'm the non-custodial parent. Me and the custodial parent want to pull the case and closed it from the child support division. The owing amount and arrears are fully paid and my account is at zero. The local department has not closed it and its been over a month. I asked to talked to a supervisor and they make me wait and then they tell me to wait and it will close at the end of the month. I have waited the time and it should have closed last month. it did not close. Been back and they tell me to wait another month. They said if I have a complaint to go to the ombudsman and i could get a court hearing in 60 to 90 days. I looking for the person fully in-charge to present my complaint. They refuse to give me who is in charge. I have the paperwork from them and the state to prove their are majorly at fault. I also have the form filled out and that they received it to closed the case.

Re: Child support- Chain of command
You do not state that your wages are being attached, or that other assets are being taken from you. Therefore what difference does it make if the case is not officially closed now or later. The tone of your question is very hostile. That approach seldom results in a favorable outcome.
