Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

I have two children that do not live with me or their mother since we are bother deployed at this time. Do I still have to pay child support to their mother or to the gaurdian of the children at this time? Also can I be ordered to pay back child support if I send the money directly to the gaurdian of the children. One more thing, is their mother responsible for part of their support since they aren't with her either? Would I be responsible to pay 1/2 or still have to pay all support for them?

Re: Child Support

You are required to pay the court ordered amount of support. If there is no court order and no pending requests for support, then you're not legally required to pay support. At this point you're morally obligated, but not legally required.
