Child support custody parent lives in a different state

My son has lived in CA w/me for the past year, I went to court last month, signed by judge on Dec 18th, in GA (GA had jurisdiction since that is where we were from) and got physical custody of my son with child support. My ex was ordered to pay X amt of $'s every 2 weeks. Does this literally mean every 2 weeks or just twice a month? Would the state of CA step in and garnish his wages (as is done when a parent here in CA is behind) when he is GA? OR Will I have to deal with the state of GA?

Action to attach wages will have to be done in GA where the paying parent lives. California Child support services will contact the GA authorities to have them enforce the support order. As a general rule I would say that every two weeks means that you will receive 26 payments each year.
