Child support on divorce with adopted children

A monthly Adoption Assistance Support payment is paid to us for each child that we adopted until age 18. Are the child support requirements considered the same as non-adopted children in a divorce case?

When you adopt a child you become the child's parent, and you accept all of the responsibilities that any parent has.
