Legal Question in Family Law in California

child support enforcement

My son's father has not provided child support or health insurance for more than a year now (both ordered by the DA's office). What can I do to get the arrearages? His license has been suspended, he's been reported to the IRS and the credit bureaus. Should I bring him back to court? Can I ask the judge to give a deadline for him to find a job?

Re: child support enforcement

Unless you know the father has money, you should let the D.A. continue to handle the matter.

You can get an order that he show that he is attempting to get work. You can attempt to have him held

in contempt. You can attach any of his assets. Will any of this actually help?
