Child Support

I would like to know if you can get my ex-husband to pay his Child Support that he has not paid in a year?

Re: Child Support

Yes. If we can locate him, he will have to pay his court ordered child support.

Re: Child Support

Maybe. Probably. Is he self-employed or a W-2 wage earner? It is very easy to get a wage assignment order. Does he own property? You can get a Support Abstract of Judgment and put a lien on his property.

The DA in your county will do it for free, albeit slowly. A private atty will do it quickly, but cost money. It is likely that a court would order your ex to reimburse you for atty fees.
