Legal Question in Family Law in California
Child Support
I need to know if i can get my ex-wife to pay me child support. We have been separated since 1991 and our 13 year old child has lived with me since age 2. She filed for divorce but terminated it when she was told to turn in an income report.
What can I do?

Based on the minimal facts provided, my first impression is that you should be able to get child support. Call to discuss further. Don Holben 800-685-6950

Re: Child Support
You left out a lot of important facts, but, as a general rule, yes, it is possible to force the wife to pay child support, especially if she is working and has abandoned the child. But you will have to bring some kind of family law action, such as legal separation, divorce, or at least an action to compel support. Consult a local family law attorney. There is probably no effective way you can get that done without one.
Re: Child Support
in a nutshell, you can file for an osc hearing to establish the child support owed, and even backpay, thru a dissomaster. you can do this even prior to filing for dissolution. if you would like further assistance in this area at very affordable fees, feel free to email me directly with your contact information for a free case evaluation/consultation.
