Child support Father never paid & Never Located!

My exhusband has never had the kids in his care. I had them for a long time and then let them go to my parents. I see them and help support them constantly. They are on Aid. My 2 boys 17 and 4 months shy of 19. The DA says I owe 15000. back child support and 600. dollers a month. BUT they sent papers to my parents house for my Exhusband in care of my mom she found that the DA is asking him to pay 45. dollers a month and 4000. dollers in back support. I have a support order from the courts years back that said he was responsible for everything. They never could locate him . THe paper work says IM the absent parent and that he is the custodial parent. I asked the DA about this and the DA said oh we just had to put names in there to print out the calculations. I need an attorney and have no money. they attached my wages and left me with 400. dollers every two weeks. I am remarried and he doesnt have a job right now either. He said hes not responsible for my Exs support either. What do I do. Who do I turn to. I have 1 daughter thats 12 in my care that I have to take care of and the DA doesnt seem to care at all that money is being take out of her mouth. Please help please!.

Get a certified copy of the court for him to pay support and take it to the da and request that they enforce it. Attach to the court order your declaration regarding how he has paid since the court order was made. This will force the da to look more closely at your case. The support order may have information regarding the custody and visitation arrangements. If it does not then you should get a copy of the order for custody and visitation.

This information should be enough to at least get some action. If not then file a motion to set arrearages with the court and present the support order and the custody and visitation order to the court.
