Legal Question in Family Law in California
Is it possible for child support to be filed on the father and the mother have no knowledge of it?
1 Answer from Attorneys
No unless there is no current address for either of the parties. Typically child support hearings require the attendance of the payor party and the payee party, so all parties would attend including the department of child support.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
