Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

On a general basis in the state of California, what would the child support be for two children ages 15 & 9 with the paying parent earning approx $3700.00 a month before taxes. I understand this is a generic question but I am interested in just a ''ball park amount''.

Thank you

You need to supply more information before you can do a meaningful guideline child support calculation. There are various web sites that will do this for you, including mine.

Good luck to you.

Re: Child Support

Guideline child support factors depend upon, the non-custodial parents income, the custodial parents income and the percentage of time that the children spend with each parent. Those are the factors that you need to make a calculation. Different judges may calculate timeshare different ways, so answer may vary from judge to judge or from county to county, although will not vary much. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
